TED: What young women believe about their own sexual pleasure

Why do girls feel empowered to engage in sexual activity but not to enjoy it? For three years, author Peggy Orenstein interviewed girls ages 15 to 20 about their attitudes toward and experiences of sex. She discusses the pleasure that’s largely missing from their sexual encounters and calls on us to close the “orgasm gap” by talking candidly with our girls from an early age about sex, bodies, pleasure and intimacy.

Opinion: Stiglitz on what’s needed in this ‘New America’

I’ve just finished reading a good and well-thought out article by one of my favorite political/ socio-economic commentators,  Joseph Stiglitz. The Nobel Memorial Prize recipient basically gives his opinion on the policies and sectors that President-elect Trump must now focus on to provide the economic difference he based his campaign on.

For me, the highlight of the entire article can be based on the following comment by Stiglitz:

If Trump is serious about tackling inequality, he must rewrite the rules yet again, in a way that serves all society, not just people like him.

We all hope that he does just that.
